The premise is that today instead of talking to countries of first world and third world can say that globalization boosted exists within a first world country and a third world.
Within every society there is a fraction first world increasingly globalized world like: the same brands of clothes, the same comfort, same cars, etc..
in South America with the emergence of progressive governments in power and redistributive measures separatist intentions born of cities (and / or provinces) characterized by having many of its inhabitants within that first globalized world. Examples of this are Santa Cruz (Bolivia) and Caracas (Venezuela). It is no coincidence that two countries that have advanced in some redistribution and two cases of recent constitutional reforms.
In Uruguay, the thing is "different" by history, size and other factors. But there are similarities, mostly in Montevideo. The vast majority of the district vote Carrasco Blanco or Colorado Party, while in the Teja to say a prevailing preference for the Frente Amplio. It would be very interesting to have the election results by district for more details about this reality. It is sad to see a trend in South America that the socioeconomic level determines the vote.
The next President will Mujica or Lacalle, two very different country models representing social interests "antagonistic." Which often swells to loathe one another. Therefore, these elections will be raw and will see much of the company split in two as in other South American countries fighting for and with different values.
